In 2009, Brian was working as a welder and pipefitter in Kentucky and Aly was attending college in Hanover, Indiana, just across the river from the power plant where Brian worked. As their paths crossed and the relationship grew, Aly relocated to Old Orchard Beach, Brian’s hometown, upon her graduation.
Brian then began working at the Biddeford Center of Technology, teaching welding, in 2011. Aly had begun her teaching career in RSU 6, leading her to RSU 21. The hours for Brian were quite different from working in the field of welding and so he started doing landscaping side work.
During the next few years, the landscaping business grew and grew, leading to a tough decision, for both Brian and Aly, leaving their teaching careers. This then led to working landscaping full time, a hydroseeding company, plowing throughout the winter, and the opening of the garden center.
Brian and Aly always had high hopes the business would continue to grow and they are very excited to offer a local business for all of Old Orchard Beach, new neighbors, and surrounding areas as well as continue to serve all their landscaping clients in the years to come.
